Situational Assessment

Referrals are sent to FRW by the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR).  The Assessment requires for a participant to conduct job related tasks at a minimum of three (3) separate sites for a total of forty (40) hours.  The completion of the hours depend on the availability of the participant and their family.  The purpose of this assessment is to evaluate the participant’s ability to follow instructions, complete tasks independently, and ability to follow multi-step instructions to see if they are ready for Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE).

Direct Placements

Direct placements consist of receiving the referrals from the DOR counselors. Once the referral is reviewed and intake has been completed, the participant begins to attend job club once a week.  During Job Club, the Job Developer goes over employment preparation.  Employment preparation consist of developing resumes, conducting job searches, completing applications, and interview preparation.  Once the participant is hired, we provide on-site and/or off-site job coaching support to ensure participant is fully grasping their new position.  At 90 Days, they complete retention, and an exit meeting is conducted between FRW, DOR Counselor, and the participant. If necessary, DOR will authorize an additional 90 days of support if the participant requests it.
